WildBrain aligned five teams behind one read on the IP.

WildBrain holds nearly 13,000 half-hours of content and franchises including Peanuts and Teletubbies, with production, distribution and licensing in house. That breadth is a strength, and it is also a coordination problem.

01
The challenge

Five teams, five versions of the audience

WildBrain’s global research and insights team wanted to track how its IP was performing across multiple regions, alongside media usage, consumption and the latest trends.

The harder part was distribution. That understanding had to reach the advertising and media, content, licensing, marketing and retail teams in a form each could act on — because when every team sources its own view, alignment becomes a meeting rather than a starting point.

02
The approach

One dataset, with reports built around the questions

WildBrain subscribed to Kids Insights across multiple markets, giving every team the same underlying source rather than five partial ones.

Our Research Solutions team then built specific reports on top of it, shaped around the decisions each function was making. The dataset stays common; the interpretation is tailored, which is what makes it usable across a business that broad.

03
The outcome

Briefings that start from evidence

The insight became a shared reference rather than a departmental asset, bringing alignment across functions and informing strategy and decision-making at the point it is made.

WildBrain describes the effect on executive briefings as a shift from speculative discussion to data-driven strategy — targets set with reason rather than ambition.

Thanks to The Insights Family, our executive briefings have transformed from speculative discussions into data-driven strategies. We’ve been able to set targets with reason and achieve our goals with purpose. Their data has given us a competitive edge in an ever-evolving industry.
